Petrol station, gas station, servo, garage, I’ve lived in places where they’re known as all the above and I invariably use the wrong one for the country I’m in. Sometimes they’re abandoned. If we’re being pretentious I’ll say something about how it represents humanity’s abandoning of fossil fuels and our necessity to progress to a renewable future.
